What is the Most Important Consciousness Shift Required Today?

A person suffering from emotional distress goes to a psychologist and tells him about his difficult childhood.

The psychologist listens attentively and finally—in the vast majority of cases—explains to him how every problem he has in life is closely connected to the fact that his parents abused him, were insensitive to him, did not see him, were angry with him, discriminated against him… (you are welcome to fill in the blanks yourselves).

Naturally, this explanation fuels the person’s victim mentality and terrible anger. Then, he will easily conclude that if he fails to change his life for the better, it’s not his own fault, but his parents’ fault! (who brought him into the world without even asking him!)

However, if that person’s spiritual consciousness begins to develop—meaning he starts to perceive reality beyond the five senses—he will gradually begin to see the threads of fate that led him to his parents, by virtue of the Law of Attraction of Homogenous Species, or by virtue of the Law of Cause and Effect (the Law of Karma).

That is, our parents did not bring us into the world against our will. Rather, our soul was drawn to them, either because of similar traits, or because of a debt from previous lives.

In other words, according to the Laws of Creation, there can be no injustice regarding what kind of life conditions the soul reincarnates into! None of us was born by chance, and every life incarnation is a golden opportunity given to us to correct and develop, for this is the purpose of our existence on Earth.

Therefore, a person with spiritual consciousness will never see himself as a victim of circumstance and will not blame his parents—nor anyone else—for his situation, but will take responsibility and seek to unravel the threads of fate that he himself has woven through his wrong choices.

According to this same principle, one can also understand the mistake made by many who call themselves “awakened” when they feel that they are victims of government policies that serve the interests of global corporations. They also proclaim: “I blame…!” which they loudly shout at demonstrations and on all the social networks.

But again, the problem is that they look at reality only through the lenses of the two material consciousnesses, which are limited to time and space: the intellectual consciousness and the emotional consciousness. Therefore, they are also consumed with anger, because from their perspective, they are not to blame, and their suffering can only end when these cursed villains are eliminated from the world.

Of course, with such an approach, no one can really be happy that the Truth has come to light, and many already admit that this Truth only leads them to despair, anxiety, and depression. (I will not elaborate on the concept of “Truth” in this post, but it is explained in detail at the beginning of the lecture: “The Truth About Joyful Monogamy.”)

However, here too, a person can make this consciousness shift and begin to look at everything happening in the world today through the lens of spiritual consciousness. Then, the picture that is revealed to him about the reality of his life will be completely different:

Millions of years ago, a desire awakened in the human spirit to descend into the material world, in order to transform from a spirit germ into a blossoming plant. In other words: to develop from a state of spiritual unconsciousness to spiritual consciousness.

And so, the spirit descended from Paradise—which does not exist in any physical place, but is a name describing the Spiritual Sphere—and clothed itself in various bodies until it finally entered the physical body.

However, while in the material world, it fell to Satan’s temptation—as explained in the lecture “Lucifer’s Agenda”—and forgot the instruction it was given before setting out on its journey: “Remember, planet Earth is not your homeland, and someday you will have to return home!”

Since then, hundreds of thousands of years have passed, during which humanity has continued to deteriorate more and more. Out of its pride and stubbornness, humanity developed a self-will contrary to the Laws of Creation and betrayed its Creator.

All the great Prophets and Messengers who were sent from the Light to help could only assist a few, in whom the spirit spark had not been completely extinguished.

But now—at the End of Days, before the Final Judgment—the moment has arrived when the spirit simply must return home! This is so because according to the Divine Laws, everything must return to its starting point after a course of development.

We are at the last moment of decision, and we have only two choices: to return home as a conscious spirit that has completed its course of development, or to return as an unconscious germ, which is the most terrible fate for a human spirit and is tantamount to being erased from the Book of Life. (In which everything we learned and experienced in many incarnations— even positive actions and right choices—is erased as if it never existed!)

As a person’s spiritual consciousness develops and strengthens—and is able, therefore, to grasp the broad contexts of human existence—the failure of humanity, of which he himself is a part, becomes increasingly clear!

It will become clear to him—something that was explained in the lecture “Prophets vs. Empires”—that “the evil ones” are only instruments on the great chessboard of the Laws of Creation, whose function is simply to execute the karma which we created for ourselves.

It will also be revealed to him that the forces of nature will have their say, and anyone who thinks it’s possible to interfere with God’s Laws of Creation through geoengineering will be forced to bow his head and flee for his life, as everything erroneous is destroyed in the Judgment from nature!

Then:

  • Instead of pride → humility will develop
  • Instead of accusation → taking responsibility
  • Instead of anger → endless gratitude for the right to atone
  • Instead of depression and anxiety → expansion of spiritual consciousness and the joy of fulfillment
  • Instead of crucifying and scorning the Messengers → gratitude for the tremendous grace of their arrival, their warnings and their guidance
  • Instead of loud demands → quiet prayer

The question: “Where is God?” will then be replaced by: “Where are we?”

Alma School for Humanity calls this entire process—the most important consciousness shift of the new era—Enlightenment.
