The Trojan Horse of Hatred

The Trojan Horse of Hatred

Hatred is the ultimate Trojan horse. We welcome it inside our minds, convinced it will bring us victory against our “enemies.” We believe it protects us, empowers us, and leads to justice.

But once we let hatred in, it secretly destroys us from within.

History proves this repeatedly. When Constantinople fell in 1453, it wasn’t just Ottoman cannons that brought down those legendary walls—it was the citizens’ internal hatred and division that truly weakened them. In Rwanda, cultivated hatred between neighbors led to unimaginable horror.

Each hateful thought, each angry post, each call for vengeance generates dark energy that also consumes us —not our perceived enemies.

When you direct hatred toward others, you harm yourself most. Like a boomerang, what you send out, will come back to you. Hatred not only harm your physical health, as research has shown, but it poisons your relationships, and blinds you to solutions.

The path forward is simple: Stop fueling hatred’s fire. Stop posting and spreading hatred on social media. Stop thinking, speaking, and believing in hatred. We can disagree without hostility. We can argue strongly without animosity. We can have conflicts while maintaining respect.

Because whoever carries hatred in his heart carries hell within—and inevitably brings it upon himself.

You Shall Not Hate!

Throughout the world today, we witness countless demonstrations fueled by anger, resentment, and hatred. Whether they’re political protests, social justice marches, or rallies against medical policies, many believe that passionate opposition—even when expressed through hostility—is the path to meaningful change.

Yet this fundamental assumption is deeply flawed. Actions stemming from hatred, division, and fear cannot lead to the lasting transformation that humanity desperately needs. While they may appear to create temporary victories, they actually perpetuate the very cycles of suffering they claim to address.

That is, when someone directs hatred toward another, he actually harms himself with it. Hatred cannot exist in the Light. This is why no true servant of the Light or anyone calling himself a “Light warrior” can harbor hatred—the two states cannot coexist, just as Darkness instantly vanishes where there is Light.

Therefore, anyone who sees himself as a social justice fighter and believes he has a good reason to hate governments, politicians, the rich and famous, religious leaders, doctors, bankers or people of different color, religion or creed, etc., can never bring the Light to the inhabitants of this world!

On the contrary, hatred is the primary fuel that sustains the Darkness. Just as a fire needs oxygen to burn, the Darkness requires the negative energy that hatred generates. This is why throughout human history, we can observe how the Darkness systematically works to incite division and fear, create enemies, and foster deep resentment between individuals, groups and nations. Each angry thought, each hateful word, each act of vengeance feeds this Darkness, allowing it to grow stronger and extend its influence.

The Darkness convinces people that their hatred is justified, even righteous—all while harvesting the negative energy this hatred produces. When millions of people direct hatred toward perceived enemies, they unknowingly become generators of the very force that enslaves them. Without this continuous supply of negative energy, the Darkness would have no power source and would diminish until it ceased to exist entirely.

Thus, we believe we are fighting against the Darkness by hating what we perceive as evil, when in reality, our hatred itself is what empowers the very Darkness we seek to overcome.

Similarly, anyone who hates his neighbor cannot claim that he loves and acts in the name of God!

Therefore, if people think their religion commands them to hate anyone belonging to another religion, they simply don’t understand that all religions have distorted the concept of love as given to us by God, Who is Love!

In fact, the one who hates is trapped in a dangerous illusion thinking that if only the ones he hates are eliminated, all his troubles and worries would disappear, and he would return to being a loving and peaceful person.

Hatred is a malignant disease that cannot be directed at a specific individual or group without the Law of Cause and Effect returning it to us with even greater force.

History provides countless examples of this truth. Consider the fall of Constantinople in 1453, when the once-mighty Byzantine Empire was conquered by the Ottoman Turks. What truly weakened this great empire was not external enemies but internal division . Religious disputes between Orthodox and Catholic Christians led to deep-seated hatred. This internal hatred so weakened their unity that when the final Ottoman siege came, the city’s defenders were too few and too divided to withstand it.

Even more tragic is the case of Rwanda in 1994, where decades of cultivated hatred between Hutu and Tutsi populations led to one of history’s most horrific genocides. What began as political manipulation of ethnic identities spiraled into a society where neighbors killed neighbors. The perpetrators believed their hatred was justified, even necessary for their survival—yet this hatred destroyed not only its targets but the entire fabric of Rwandan society. Only after abandoning this hatred could Rwanda begin its remarkable journey of healing and reconciliation.

Adolf Hitler provides perhaps the most striking example of how hatred ultimately consumes those who harbor it. His hatred of the Jewish people evolved into such all-consuming rage that, by the end of World War II, he turned against his own German people, declaring: “If the German people are not strong and willing to sacrifice and give their blood for their existence, then they deserve to perish and be destroyed by another power… I will not shed a single tear for the German people.”

Can you understand that history continues to repeat itself, and we must break this cycle to prevent further destruction?

If you do, then stop fueling the fire of hatred. Stop the posting and the spreading of hatred on your social media channels. Stop thinking, speaking, believing hatred.

Accept that we can walk different paths without needing to be the same. Unity doesn’t mean uniformity. We can unite behind a noble goal of peace and true love. We can still disagree. We can strongly argue and rebuke. We can even have conflicts.

But without hatred!

Because whoever carries hatred in his heart carries hell within him and brings it upon the entire world.
