During a recent live Q&A session, someone questioned whether the school’s collection of email addresses to provide spiritual content contradicts warnings about control agendas.
The response emphasized the Law of Creation: “Only through giving is receiving made possible.” Specifically, rather than viewing everything with suspicion, we should ask how we can give back when we’ve received value. The answer also explained that social networks serve as the modern public square, making email collection necessary to reach people, and that spiritual work requires economic infrastructure—the notion that Light enterprises should operate without charge was conceived by the Darkness to keep spiritual leaders as beggars, preventing them from interfering with its plans.
This answer inspired the following reflection from Michal Glatsman Webb:
The answer about spirituality, money, and the Laws of Creation offered a powerful reframe of viewing this concept from “If it’s free—you are the product” to “If you received value, you must give back to the source.” This caused me to look within.
It made me reflect on myself three years ago. Three years that feel like a different person in a different world. After watching all of Alma’s free lectures in A New Human Being. A New World and reading everything Hagit had written, I knew this was the Truth! Yet I hesitated, sitting on the fence with excuses: “There’s still so much to absorb from the free lectures—why register immediately? You’ve taken courses before, what would be different this time?”
Weeks passed. I prayed for a sign.
One day, returning from shopping, I received a Facebook message in Spanish: “I have your information…” Assuming it was spam, I nearly deleted it—but a sudden, loud noise in my ear stopped me. I continued with my day, forgetting all about it.
That evening, searching for my missing wallet (the third I’d lost that month!), I suddenly remembered the message. Opening it, I read: “I have your information from the driver’s license in the wallet you dropped. I left it at the police station.”
The joy was enormous—not for the wallet, but for the sign. The next day, I registered for my first course at Alma, opening a path that continues to unfold with wonder.
The lesson mirrors Hagit’s answer about the Law of Creation: “There is no receiving without giving. Only the material consciousness wants to receive without giving back. Even listening to every lecture won’t bring understanding. Deep comprehension happens only when you give something in return.”
Looking back, I wonder—I received so much, why didn’t it occur to me to contribute?
This Law operates in everyday life. As I progress and receive more, my giving must grow accordingly—through action or profound inner devotion. Not from fear of punishment, but because these are Creation’s Laws: what you receive and don’t give back will be taken away or rot within you. The more you give, the higher you soar.
I see the operating of this Law clearly through the depth and new insights I now discover in lectures I’ve heard multiple times previously. I am overjoyed and grateful for being able to give to Alma though nothing is compared to what I have received. I truly sense that every act of devotion brings an upward shift.
How simple and beautiful the Laws of Creation are! Through understanding and aligning ourselves with them, we can soar upward.
