At night, they rested safely in a fenced enclosure that protected them from danger.<\/p><p>One night, a wolf appeared and began prowling around the sheep&#8217;s enclosure. The wolf couldn&#8217;t reach them because he was too large to slip through the fence. However, tragically, some sheep\u2014driven by their own fear and panic at seeing the threatening predator\u2014<strong>made the fatal decision to flee their protected enclosure, leaping over the fence to meet their death!<\/strong><\/p><p>In the morning, when the shepherds woke up, they found seven sheep lying lifeless, which the wolf had killed, <strong>but strangely hadn&#8217;t eaten their flesh!<\/strong> They also noticed that all seven dead sheep belonged to just one shepherd, while the sheep belonging to the other shepherds were completely unharmed by the violent attack.<\/p><p>All the shepherds\u2014who believed that everything happens for a reason, or in other words, in the Law of Cause and Effect\u2014perceived that this wasn&#8217;t just a coincidence but a sign meant for them. So together, they decided to seek the advice of the village\u2019s elder.<\/p><p><strong>After they shared their story, the elder replied:<\/strong><\/p><p>&#8220;The behavior of animals mirrors the thought world of humans!<\/p><p>The wolf&#8217;s cruelty\u2014killing not for survival but out of pure viciousness\u2014reflects how you treat your fellow men!<\/p><p>And the sheep whose fear led to their death reveal the lack of faith in the shepherd who owned them!&#8221;<\/p><p>The shepherds looked down at the ground in silence, and the sage continued:<\/p><p>&#8220;You must remember that no harm will come to those who truly trust in God!\u201d<\/p><p>If someone&#8217;s faith remains steadfast, never letting doubt or fear undermine and weaken it\u2014no \u201cwolf\u201d prowling around him can cause him harm, for as it is written: \u201cHe who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him!\u201d (Psalm 32:10).<\/p><p><strong>For us, the lesson is crystal clear:<\/strong><\/p><p>There are many &#8220;wolves&#8221; in our world. But the way to protect ourselves from them isn&#8217;t by obsessing over them\u2014which only creates anxiety and fear that play right into their hands\u2014but by strengthening the protective covenant that naturally exists between our spirit and God.<\/p><p><strong>Because we can only be harmed by what we ourselves allow to enter!<\/strong><\/p><p>This is similar to viruses and bacteria that constantly circulate around us, yet they can only harm us when our immune system weakens\u2014primarily due to fear and anxiety.<\/p><p>The path to developing and maintaining trust in God begins with learning to distinguish between spiritual consciousness and emotional consciousness.
